Left 4 Dead 2 modding.
I'll introduce myself first off, my nickname is Hey Koolaid but Koolaid for short. I am a server administrator for Marvelous Gaming. I have spent 1660 hours in left 4 dead 2 *all of the hours are playing matches they are not idle hours* and I started to become bored with it so I looked at left4deadmaps.com for some new mods to liven things up again. It worked for awhile but I realized I still wasn't quite happy with just playing with other peoples mods.
I looked into how to decompile files and recompile them and I made a few mods just for myself. I made the Dark Carnival concert play Linkin Park, Johnny Cash, Power man 5000 and allot of others. I then decided to move onto making tank music mods and I took the jukebox song *All we want to do is eat your brains* and made it for the tank whenever he would appear. I loved it greatly but decided I wanted to do more.
Left 4 dead 2 workshop came out and it was a easy way fro modders and players to connect with one another and have a simpler avenue to showcase their projects. I had someone request a music pack for the tank wanting only the song from the seconded tank at dark carnival and so I made the mod and uploaded it and instantly got other people interested in the mod. I had pms from random l4d2 players asking me if i could make more mods and so I began working on more and more.
I won't bore you guys with a life story of how I got my first video game or any other ridiculous nonsense. I would like if anyone has an idea to go ahead and post it for me and that way I can keep a central knowledge base where i can look and see oh they would like to see this in a mod. Anyways thanks guys I will continue to make mods until i run out of ideas.
